Barcelona, Spain is a city located at the northeast side of the Iberian Peninsula, in the heart of Catalonia and bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the east. By Road
To get to Barcelona by car from Madrid, you should take the Nacional II motorway. From the coast, take the A-7 or the Autovía del Mediterráneo. Barcelona is about 600 kilometers from Madrid, at 350 from Valencia, 300 from Zaragoza, and at 1000 from Malaga.
From other European cities, Paris is 1,200 kilometers away from Barcelona, 1,098 from Berna, and 1,600 from London.
There are bus routes from almost every city in Spain to Barcelona and as well from most major European cities.
By Sea
Barcelona has one of the busiest marinas with numbers of passengers of the entire Iberian Peninsula. There are daily ferry connections from Palma de Majorca, Mahon, and Ibiza.
